Rate and review haunted attractions across the USA
Rotten Pumpkins was created as a way for Haunted Attractions, of all shapes and sizes, to have the opportunity to be recognized by their own fans. Rotten Pumpkins was created by two former Haunted Attraction Owners for the purpose of helping recognize amazing attractions only found within the Haunted Attraction Industry. In 2026, two certifications were created. Below is an explanation of what those two badges consist of and how YOU can obtain one or both.
BRUTAL Badge: To be certified "BRUTAL" you must have fans visit our site, find your state, and locate your haunt. Once they have done this, they can vote your haunt as "BRUTAL" meaning that your haunt is so scary it is BRUTAL, or they can vote your haunt as "ROTTEN" meaning you need to step up your game! If your haunted attraction is not listed under your State's page, please reach out to us, and we can have you added. Now, once you have reached 75% and above after receiving a minimum of 10 votes, you become "Certified BRUTAL". Once you are given the certification, you are certified from that point until December (wherein you are certified for that given year).
Recertification will be rechecked on September 1st of each year, and an announcement will be made via Facebook and other Social Media Outlets. If your haunt is announced, you may reach out to us to receive a digital version of the Brutal Badge, which you can add to your website. Be sure to have fans keep voting throughout the year so your haunted attraction can remain certified. If it drops under 75% then you lose your certification for that given year.
SAVAGE Badge: To be certified "SAVAGE" an official Rotten Pumpkins Critic will need to come out to visit your haunted attraction. This can be done during the Haunt Season or for an Off-Season Event. They will need to go through all attractions at your location. We may ask to take some photographs and video to create our video of your attraction to provide free advertising for your attraction if given the "SAVAGE" rating by our critics. After the visit, a video review and rating will be provided to your haunt to use for any promotions you wish to do. If the SAVAGE Rating for your haunt is a 90% or above, then you will be provided the SAVAGE Badge which can be used on your website and in any promotional materials.
This certification can only be provided by Official Rotten Pumpkins Critics. To ensure you are working with a Rotten Pumpkins Critic, ask for their "Official Rotten Pumpkins Annual Critic ID" to ensure they are actually with us and not trying to scam you.
